Shauna Langford Piscitello is the owner and founder of Soulutions for Balance. As is an early adopter of holistic medicine, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) in 1991 and became a yoga therapist in 2011. Shauna completed yoga therapy training at Loyola Marymount University's Yoga Studies Program and became certified in primordial sound meditation from the Chopra Center. Shauna is also a feng shui practitioner who graduated from the Western School of Feng Shui in 2000 and has studied with feng shui masters in China and with internationally recognized space clearing teachers in Europe and the United States.
Shauna is also trained in mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR) and Mindful Self Compassion for Children and Teens (MFY) from UCSD’s Center for Mindfulness and is currently a faculty member for their youth and family programming. She is also part of a team of integrative health practitioners at the True Life Center for Wellbeing, an outpatient practice for mental health and addiction care.
As a licensed occupational therapist and certified yoga therapist, Shauna has worked in the healthcare and wellness field for almost 30 years. Yoga, mindfulness and mindful self compassion have been at the center of her therapeutic approach to helping others find their way through transformation. Yoga provides advanced technology to strengthen and support the nervous and glandular systems in our current fast paced world. She utilizes restorative yoga and yoga nidra for their profound approach to nervous system reset and the prescriptive kriyas of kundalini yoga and pranayama for its powerful emotional and energy balancing properties. Mindfulness and mindful self compassion offer practices that help us to navigate life’s challenges in a more skillful, kind and perhaps, more joyful way.
In addition to her work as a healthcare practitioner, Shauna facilitates balance and healing in environments. The outer environment is a reflection of our inner, so helping clients to intentional design their lives with clearing, placement, and understanding their homes' energetic footprint, is her specialty. She has helped couples looking to start a family, singles wanting to be in relationship, and supported business owners looking to enhance their company’s mission.
Assisting clients in engaging both their inner and outer environments on their journey to wellbeing is what
Soulutions for Balance is all about.
